LEGAL & POLICIES / PRIVACY
Privacy by design.
Your data is part of the system. So is your control over it.
PRIVACY / PRINCIPLE
Privacy should not be hidden inside legal language.
Unsent Studio uses information to operate the platform, manage accounts and memberships, maintain security, communicate with users and understand how the Studio is used.
But collecting information is not the purpose of the Studio. The principle is simple: information should have a reason for being collected, and the person providing it should be able to understand why.
WHAT WE NEED
Information with a purpose.
Some information is necessary to make the Studio work. That can include account information, membership and subscription records, authentication details, communications and technical information required to maintain access and platform security.
Where information is required to provide a service, maintain an account or meet an operational obligation, that purpose should remain clear.
WHAT WE MEASURE
Measurement is not the same as ownership.
Technical and analytical information may be used to understand performance, maintain security, improve navigation and see how visitors interact with the Studio.
Cookies, analytics and related technologies are governed through the Studio’s wider consent and compliance systems. Where choices are available, those choices should remain visible rather than buried.
RESTRAINT
More data is not automatically better data.
The existence of a technical ability to collect information does not mean that every piece of information needs to be collected.
Collection should have a purpose. Access should have a reason.
Privacy begins with restraint before it reaches policy.
YOUR CONTROL
The legal detail remains live.
This page explains the Studio’s approach in ordinary language. It does not replace the formal compliance record.
The live Privacy Policy (UK) contains the detailed information covering processing, lawful bases, retention, rights, third-party services and the wider legal framework governing personal information.
C01 / PRIVACY / UK
Privacy Policy (UK)
The formal legal record governing personal-data processing, retention, lawful bases, user rights and compliance obligations.
Controlled by design.
Privacy should be understandable before it needs to be legal.
