I’m Not Afraid of a Vegan

I eat meat. I also eat vegan food. Apparently these things are allowed to coexist.

Gaucho is famous for steak. And I love my meat.

Make of that what you will.

But every now and then, even I like to try something different. This was the vegan option at Gaucho, and it was actually bloody good.

I’ve never understood why food has become another identity people feel they have to defend. Eating meat doesn’t mean every meal needs meat in it. Ordering vegan food doesn’t make you vegan.

Sometimes something just looks good, so you order it.

No conversion. No announcement. No new personality. I ate it, enjoyed it and presumably went back to meat shortly afterwards.
