
Sometimes a film
just needs to work.
And Mercy does.
I went in expecting very little. Came out pleasantly surprised.
You can feel the influence straight away — a bit of Minority Report, a bit of Source Code — that near-future, predictive-chaos energy.
It doesn’t quite hit those levels, but it doesn’t need to.
Sometimes you’ve just got to switch off the comparisons and let it be what it is.
And what it is… a solid, entertaining film that knows its lane.
Rebecca Ferguson, though — she didn’t just show up, she elevated it. 🔥 Calm, controlled, and easily the strongest presence on screen.
It’s not trying to reinvent anything. It’s just doing enough to keep you in it — and sometimes that’s more than enough.
