🏗️ Politicians cost the announcement but rarely the consequences. Every promise requires workers, buildings, infrastructure and connected services. Eventually somebody has to ask the obvious question: who is actually going to do all this?

🧠 200 new mental-health centres sounds transformative. But 200 becomes 159, then 100 + 59 — and “new” doesn’t necessarily mean a new building, new capacity or a genuinely new service. So what are we actually being promised?
